| | Vacaville is a vibrant, family-oriented community in one of the fastest-growing areas of the nation. Located in northern Solano County, midway between San Francisco and Sacramento, the city has a beautiful setting bordered by rolling hillsides, fruit orchards and fertile farmland. Vacaville has grown from a small agricultural town in 1892 into a thriving and progressive city, now covering just under 27 square miles and with a population of almost 97,000 residents.
It has become home to some of the world's largest life-science companies and a thriving retail district along Interstate 80 that includes one of California's largest factory outlet complexes.
Yet Vacaville remains a “small town at heart,” whose residents pride themselves on a high level of community involvement and a family-friendly ambiance.
